Selling the Narrative
In supermarkets all over the country, consumers are given an endless amount of choices. Walking through the produce section of any chain supermarket and you'll find anything from tropical pineapples to farm fresh Jersey Tomatoes. According to Food Inc., "there are no seasons in the American supermarket." We are provided with endless options, but at what price?
Through our extensive research into the advertising practices of the typical American supermarket, my group and I have discovered that there are creative (and sometimes unethical) practices used by supermarkets to grab our attention and our stomachs!
In our Collaborative Research Project, Linsey, Megan and I have created a website advocating further research into the foods we are eating. We have choices so we should not settle for nothing less than the best.
